Games will advance Thurs 9am EST/Sun. 5pm EST, this gives us 3 1/2 days to play each week. If all games get played we can advance sooner.
If you can't make your game it will get simmed, if your opponent is not online you will play the cpu.

Madden 11 Update

* Absolutely No Glitching. Examples of a glitch would be FG/Punt Block. As far as nanos/enhanced blitz schemes go we do not consider them glitches since they can be countered with good offensive play calling.
If you suspect someone is glitching, save the highlight, record it, or take a screen shot. Upload It, post it on youtube, or email it. Let's talk about it before jumping to conclusions. Don't get mad cause you lost. Not everyone calls plays the same as you either. Don't expect everyone to play like you. But save the highlight and give the benefit of the doubt.

If your opponent uses a glitch, send them a reminder message right away. If they do it again, finish the game anyway and PM one of us afterward describing what happened. Both owners will be asked for their side of what happened. Please try to use the highlight feature for proof of being glitched, this will help your cause a lot.

Each glitch play will be voted on by the league and added to the addendum at the bottom of this thread.

Disconnection of games
If a game gets disconnected and you have the option to continue vs CPU or quit, you may cont. vs CPU if you are winning by 21 pts in the 1st half or by 17pts in the 2nd half. If you are down by double digits in the 4th qtr and you don't have the ball and your game gets disconnected, this game can be finished by your opponent. If this is not the situation you MUST NOT by any circumstances cont. vs CPU. If you do decide to take this in to your own hands and cont. this can lead to being kicked out of the league.
** You can finish a game if the other players connection drops and they lost a player in that game that game on the stretcher or out for the game** Some guys have been DC'd after losing players on a stretcher (FISHY). Even though you lose your QB or half back or anyone else you still need to play the game.

Roster Transactions

The Deadline for all trades will be WEEK 6. After the Super Bowl each team will be allowed to trade. If Trading during the off season, the trades can be posted and accepted on the site but the actual trade can NOT be done on the Xbox 360 until week 1. We will not trade draft picks until SEASON 2.
Free agents can be picked up 1 a week until week 6. If a players gets hurt after that, you can do a add/drop.

Trades
Trades are open and their are NO restrictions. The only rule we'll adopt is that you can only trade other owners, and NOT CPU controlled teams

FAKE PUNTS and FAKE FIELD GOALS

• You are allowed to do one (1) a game of each.
• One Punt One FG, NEVER TWO Punts or TWO FGs
• You cannot attempt a Fake FG on "your side" of the field (Goal - 50ydl)

Offseason Schedule
OFF SEASON ROOKIE DRAFT
As most of you know by now, there is a LIVE off season rookie draft in the online Franchise mode. n the playoffs, we'll start trying to decide on a good time and day that will work for the majority of us. Madden allows you to set a draft board. There will be a break in between the time the season ends, and when the Draft will be conducted.
***Very Important - Every season right before the draft start every team should have released a minimum of 7 players. Not releasing 7 players will result in the CPU cutting some players from your team to allow space for the rookies. Once players are cut from your team by the CPU you cannot get them back. We will not allow any team to pickup FA because they state that "that player was on my team and cut by the cpu so i want him back". We aren't buying - tough Luck.

Other Rules Will be added, As needed.

We prefer everyone has a headset, not to talk during game, unless each person is comfortable with it, but it helps if someone feels a rule is being broken, or needs something addressed.

You Must Post on THREAD current game week on Buffalo Madden League Forum in the Section " GAME SCHEDULING", Look for the Subject line, Your Team and Opponents Team, and in the body of post, Put the times you can play, and the Opponent should respond. Even if you discuss a time in the chat room someone still needs to Post So we know attempts are being made. This is also mandatory and part of the rules. After Games are Finished the Staff will delete old post from games played and put the New Weeks up, After we Advance Week, So no Owner should take it upon themselves to add it in, we will make sure its in place. To make sure they are there and it leads to less mistakes and clutter, and you will have nothing to worry about except posting your times...etc.

The Schedule:

Start of week will be Sun 6 pm, you must post your avail by Tues 10am Eastern, otherwise if your opponent posts his avail, and you did not he will have option of playing cpu. This game will have to be played by Thurs 8 am eastern time. 2nd part of week starts- Thurs. 9 am eastern time, U must post your availability by Fri 10 am eastern. You will have till Sun 6 pm eastern to get your game in. If neither is owner post his availability it's up to them to work out an acceptable game time and if they can't come to a resolution the game will be simmed. That's why it's in your best interest to post your availability on the BML scheduling thread in the time fashions that was mentioned above. This is important cause in enable us to decide who was more readily available. The Commissioners will look look at the scheduling thread to make their decision. The owner who shows more commitment to getting his game in... under the scheduling thread will have more leverage in deciding how that game will be played. I would recommend to post your availability on Mon and Thurs morning. That way your don't have to worry about any of this stuff happening. Now when posted owners decide or have to play the cpu cause his opponent won't be playing that week, the 1 owner will get booted from the league that week so the 1 owner can play the CPU. After, the game get's played the owner who got booted will then get re-invited back to the league and have to put his password back in to get into the franchise again. Remember if you get booted on several times you run the risk of getting banned from the BML.
You need to follow up on reading The BML Forums as much as possible, for any changes(Rules etc.), and be active in them, as best as possible. Lets make this a fun league by being active.

You can use any Team Playbook you want with your team.

Audibles and substitutions can only be changed before the game, at halftime, or if you use a timeout. Substitutions are limited to same/similar position only. Here is the list of allowed manual substitutions:

RB/FB
LOLB/MLB/ROLB
FS/SS/CB
O-line/O-line
D-line/D-line
TE/TE/ only
WR/WR only
QB/QB only
Special teams: Kicker for Kicker or Punter. Punter for Kicker or Punter.

If a package table changes a players position it is allowed.
Or under Substitutions on the play call screen will be allowed also

PAUSING THE GAME FOR AUDIBLE CHANGES AND SETUP:

As a courtesy PLEASE give your opponent time to setup (maximum 5 minutes). USE OF "PACKAGE" OPTION IS ACCEPTED, BOTH ON OFFENSE & DEFENSE.

LEAGUE RULES (we reserve the right to add rules as the season progresses)

1. USE OF HURRY UP OFFENSE ONLY ALLOWED IF:

1) Last 3 minutes of 2nd qtr.
2) Last quarter if your are losing.

2. 4TH DOWN RULES:
You are allowed to go for it under the following circumstances:
1) You over your opponents 40yd line
2) You are losing in the 4th Quarter

3. MILKING THE CLOCK

The problem in Madden is that the play clock is always set to a real NFL game, 15-minute quarters. Madden does not adjust the play clock length when you have shorter quarters. This can be abused. Now we are not talking about running the ball or using short passes to control the clock. It's specifically letting the clock run all the way down before snapping the ball. This doesn’t mean you have to snap the ball right away. And we know there are times when you need to make a lot of adjustments before the snap. But if you are intentionally letting the clock run down before you snap the ball (because you have the lead) then this will not be allowed, especially in the 3rd and early 4th quarter. You should be snapping the ball with at least 25 seconds left on clock. The game would have to be re-played if the loser of the game got the clock milked on him.

When can you milk the clock? Only with under 2 minutes to go at the end of each half.

4. DEFENSIVE PLAYER PRESNAP MOVEMENT

The only rule here is you can not move any defensive linemen off the viewing screen.

5. INTENTIONAL QB SPRINT BACK:

No Intentional sprinting back. We are not saying you can not sprint back to avoid the blitz, but use good judgment. Once you get 15 yards back the passing icons dissappear so it would be in your best interest to NOT try this

6. FORMATION/FLIPPING/AUDIBLE CHANGES:

You are not allowed to make rapid multiple audible formation changes before snapping the ball on offense. This can be abused by messing up the A.I. of the defensive players. If you need to make changes then let the guys on offense be set before calling another play that changes the formation. This goes for flipping the play as well. Changing audibles within the same formation should not be a problem. This should only effect when players move through audibles, formation changes, and flipping of the play.

7. AUDIBILING DOWN & UP (OFFENSE & DEFENSE): You are free to audible from any formation on offense & defense.

8. ONSIDE KICKS- Not allowed unless your down in the 4th quarter.

9. DISCONNECTIONS & QUITTING:

In the event of a disconnection, outage of power, accidental unplugging, system freeze or some other event not in either player's control that would not allow the participants to finish the game, both players must come to an agreement on resuming the game or starting over at a later time. When restarting the game, estimate how much time was left over and play that time period only. Add the scores of both teams prior to the disconnection and that will be the final score (player and total stats estimated). EXAMPLE: If the score is 14-14 and the game is disconnected prior to the 4th quarter, restart the game and play ONE 5 minute quarter. If the opponent blatantly "QUITS" at a particular time of the game, doesn't responded (either through messaging or calls) the score and stats will be inputted as the final score and stats. The "intention quitting" owner will be warned on the 1st offense. The 2nd offense is automatic dismissal from the league.

PENALTY FOR BROKEN RULES:

If the BML 360 League rules are being broken during gameplay, please address it accordingly by pausing the game and stating your case to your opponent. If game rules are still being broken, please note the situation, discontinue the game and contact via email the commissioner. A review will follow regarding further action. If you are found to be blatantly breaking the rules, you'll be dismissed from the league.

Once Games Are Played

We highly encourage post game writeups. They can be very indepth with sort of play by play info or as simple as play of the game and offensive and defensive players of the game.

Games Not Played:

If 2 owners agree upon a date/time of the game and 1 owner stiff's the owner then the owner who got blown off has the option to take the forfeit or reschedule the game on his time. If 1 owner is more than 15 minutes late, then it's considered a absence to the game. If you can't make the game then you must give at least a 1 hour notice to your opponent. If you don't have his phone # then call a Commish so he can inform your opponent.

AUTOMATIC DISMISSAL FOR INACTIVITY/NON LEAGUE INVOLVEMENT:

If an owner fails to comply with announced deadlines pertaining to league, such as quotas for games played, no replies to mandatory email & message board responses, he will be dismissed (no refund if applicable). This includes inadequate actions towards posts pertaining to "getting games played".

Division Tie Breakers:
